Keeps your important stuff running
Some things just can’t go down
Most businesses have a couple of programs that have to be running, and usually they’re on a machine nobody sits at. Concierge keeps an eye on it. It starts things in the right order, puts back whatever crashes, watches the services and printers underneath, and tells you when it needs you.

What Clinic Concierge does
Starts things in the right order
Your database engine has to be up before the programs that use it. Concierge waits for that, then starts everything a couple of seconds apart so they're not all hitting the server at once.
Restarts what crashes
Something dies, Concierge starts it back up. If it keeps dying it waits a little longer each time, and after five tries in three minutes it stops and flags it for you instead of restarting it all night.
Tells you when it needs you
When Concierge gives up on something, or a program you start by hand closes, you get a Windows notification. Put in your email address and it'll send that too. The tray icon changes color either way.
Watches your printers
Printers cause more calls than anything else we deal with. Concierge checks the ones on that PC and tells you which are offline, jammed, out of paper, or just not answering.
Start with one thing
You don’t have to hand it your whole machine. Most people start with the one program that keeps causing problems, and add more later if they feel like it.
Just one program
Drag its shortcut onto the window. That’s the setup. From then on, if it closes, Concierge opens it back up and tells you it happened.
Just a weekly reboot
Plenty of people use it for nothing else. Pick Sunday at 2am and forget about it. No programs to add, no services to pick, it just handles the reboot.
Or the whole machine
Twenty programs, the services under them, every printer, and a maintenance schedule. Same app, and it doesn’t get harder to read as you add to it.
Everything in one place
A machine doesn’t break in one spot. Sometimes it’s the program, sometimes it’s the service under it, sometimes the printer went offline three days ago and nobody mentioned it. It’s all on one screen in the same colors, so your staff don’t have to work out which one it was. They see red, and they either hit restart or call you.
Your programs
Whatever has to be running. Concierge picks up anything that's already open instead of starting a second copy, launches the rest once they're clear to go, and restarts them if they crash. If you'd rather start something yourself, tell it that and it'll just let you know when the program closes.
Windows services
The services your programs sit on top of, database engines included. Concierge reads their status to know when it's safe to start things, and shows you how many programs are waiting on each one. It watches them. It won't start or stop them on you.
Printers
Every real printer on the machine, rechecked every couple of minutes. Offline, jammed, out of paper, or installed but not answering at its address, which is the one that usually looks fine until somebody tries to print. If you're on Computer-Rx it reads your Label Print ports too, and tells you when one's pointed at a printer that isn't there anymore.
Routines
The overnight housekeeping that keeps a Windows box happy. Pick a time and which days, and leave it alone.
- Restart or shut down the computer
- Restart a Windows service
- Clear a stuck print queue
- Any of those together, in whatever order you want
These run as Windows scheduled tasks, so they still fire even if Concierge itself is closed. The ones that touch a service or a print queue ask for approval once, when you save them.
Check it from your phone
Concierge can put a small status page on your own network. Pull it up on your phone or the front counter PC to see what’s running, and restart something without walking back there.
- Off until you turn it on
- Won't run without a password you set
- Stays on that one machine unless you open it up
- Restarts programs it already manages, and that's it
There’s no way to make it launch something new from a browser, and that isn’t a setting you can turn on.
When you need it to knock it off
Doing an update, moving a server, actually working on the thing: times when something that keeps relaunching your programs is the last thing you want. Flip on Maintenance Mode and it stops everything and leaves it stopped, through crashes, schedules and updates alike.
While it’s on, the dashboard says so across the whole window, because the easiest mistake here is forgetting you left it that way. It asks you to confirm when you turn it on, and points you at a single program’s Stop button if that’s all you were after.

Windows won’t warn you about this one
Concierge is code-signed, so the installer and any prompt it puts up say Clinic Networking, LLC instead of showing you that unknown-publisher warning. Updates are signed the same way, and Concierge won’t install one whose signature doesn’t check out.

To install it
- No admin rights needed

Questions we get asked
Do we need an administrator to install it?
Nope. It installs just for whoever's signed in, and it doesn't ask for admin rights. Whoever's sitting at the machine can put it on themselves. A couple of the optional pieces do ask for approval when you turn them on, like a scheduled routine that restarts a service or clears a print queue, and Windows will show a normal prompt with our name on it.
Is this only for pharmacies?
No. We built it for our own clients and a lot of them are pharmacies, but there's nothing pharmacy-specific in it. If you've got a Windows machine running something that needs to stay up, it'll work. Drag the shortcut in, tell it what to wait for, and you're done.
Will Windows warn us about the installer?
No. Concierge is code-signed, so you'll see Clinic Networking, LLC as the publisher instead of that unknown-publisher warning. Updates are signed the same way, and it won't install one that doesn't check out.
What if a program just won't stay up?
Concierge keeps trying, waiting a bit longer each time, up to five minutes. If it restarts five times in three minutes it stops and marks it Failed, which turns the tile red and sends you an alert. That's on purpose. Something crashing every twenty seconds needs a person to look at it, and restarting it forever just hides that from you.
Can we check on it without walking back there?
Yeah, if you turn on the built-in web page. It'll serve a little status page you can pull up on your phone or the front counter PC, and you can restart something from it. It's off until you switch it on, it won't run without a password you set, and it stays on that one machine unless you specifically open it up to your network.
Does it send our data anywhere?
No. It runs on your machine and reads your machine. The only things it reaches out for are its own updates and a list of recommended settings for programs it recognizes. If you set up email alerts, those go to whatever mail server and addresses you put in, and nowhere else. Nothing about your business or your patients goes anywhere.
How does it update?
By itself. It checks for a new signed build shortly after it starts and every six hours after that, then installs it quietly. You can turn that off in Settings if you'd rather decide when it changes, but then keeping it current is on you.
What does it cost?
It's included if we manage your systems, and we'll set it up around whatever that site runs. If we don't manage you and you want it anyway, give us a call and we'll figure something out.
We’ll get it set up with you
Setting it up right means knowing which programs matter to you, what has to start before what, and which ones you’d rather nobody restarted without asking first. That’s a five minute phone call, and it comes with managed support.
